Fraunhofer Institutes involved

The research group Smart Ocean Technologies SOT is not an independent Fraunhofer institution, but a joint activity. The following four institutes contribute their competences and send staff members to the research group:

Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD

Fraunhofer IGD brings visual computing to the field of marine technology. It is used for object recognition, surveying, 3D reconstruction and navigation. Automated image analysis uses the latest deep learning methods.
